Ready, Set…Go!

In the middle of chaos, we find hope.  In the area of Cap Haitian, Haiti, on Friday June 7th at the closing of the school year, the members of the Cadeauvert Cap decided that the timing was right to launch their School Reforestation Program With about 650 students from 2nd to 6th grade from L’École Chrétienne de Pillâtre.

 CadeauVert fully supported the Launch with a celebratory and festive ambience.

 The atmosphere before the launch was filled with anticipation and eagerness as students and teachers alike, awaited the launch.

 Four guest speakers were on the schedule for the occasion: Lapommbrey Stevenson, Saint Victor Antolo, Philostin Jim-Kert, et Garçon Djefrey.

 The topics on the program were:

• Sustainable reforestation, educating for a greener future,

• The importance of the trees,

• Tree Identification, &

• Deforestation and conservation

 By the end of the Launch, optimism and determination resonated among All in attendance.  The students and participants were inspired to be fully committed and to be invested in environmental stewardship.

 All the students and teachers really appreciated the program. Compliments to the members of Cadeauvert Cap team!
